Feynman Technique Summary

01

Write it down

Write down whatever concept you’re trying to understand better.

02

Simplify

Continue writing the concept in as simple language as possible, going into as much detail as you can

03

Identify weakness

Identify any problem areas. Now you know which area(s) you need to study a bit more (so go and study)!

04

Simplify again

Pinpoint any complicated terms you’ve used and simplify them!

05

Challenge yourself

Lastly, try explaining your whole concept to a willing participant who has no knowledge on the subject whatsoever – kids are great for this. If you can achieve this, then you truly understand the subject!
